Actually, it is pretty decent for an early 7th gen sci fi shooter, but the experience is brought down by some really boring gameplay. Instead, I ended up being a little disappointed by Prey (2006). Many seem to think that a Prey 2 would've been a better use of the IP and so I thought that maybe I could share in the disappointment. I know that they are unrelated in every way but the name and even the devs would rather you didn't compare the two, but there's always someone who mentions the original game when discussing the 2017 one so I was interested. I'm one of those people who like to play an entire series from the beginning so when I was thinking of finally checking out Prey (2017), I decided that maybe I should check out the 2006 version first.
